The period for festive feasts is upon us, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say I can’t wait for the food. But, one thing I’m not looking forward to is the bloating that inevitably follows those indulgent feasts! Today I wanted to share 3 quick fire tips I’ll be using to beat the bloat this festive period.
1. STAY HYDRATED, STRATEGICALLY
Don't just focus on drinking water – timing is everything! Avoid drinking large amounts during meals as this can dilute stomach acid and lead to bloating. Instead, hydrate between meals and start your day with warm lemon water to support digestion. Remember that proper hydration helps move food through your digestive system more efficiently.
2. THE POSTURE PROTOCOL
How you sit matters! Try to maintain good posture while eating and avoid slouching, which can compress your digestive organs. After meals, try a gentle 10-minute walk instead of lounging on the sofa – this simple movement aids digestion and reduces bloating.
3. TRY MILK THISTLE
When it comes to supplements that we love for bloating you can’t go wrong with milk thistle. We’re not allowed to say much about milk thistle but let’s just say it’s good for reducing bloating & recovery from other kinds of festive indulgence.
