DIY Banana, Honey and Yogurt Mask

The honey is a natural hair conditioner which will moisture and hydrate your hair. Yogurt has high levels of lactic acid which helps combats dullness and repair damaged hair.
To make this mask, you will need:
-One ripe banana
-Two tablespoons of honey
-One cup of yogurt
Simply mash the banana until it is smooth, then mix in the honey and yogurt. Apply the mixture to damp hair from root to tip, focusing on the ends and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash your hair as usual after the mask is done.
DIY Coconut Oil and Honey Mask
This mask is very simple to make and uses two ingredients that are known for their hair-moisturizing properties. Coconut Oil have high content of fatty aids which enables to penetrate hair much deeper than regular mask/conditioners. With the coconut infused with Honey it will give your hair the extra boost of hydration and also helps moisture the scalp. To make this mask, you will need:
- ¼ cup melted coconut oil
- ½ cup honey
Simply mix the coconut oil and honey together until well combined. Apply this hair mask to dry hair and leave on for 30 minutes. Then, rinse out with shampoo and condition as usual.

DIY Egg, Mayonnaise and Olive Oil Mask
This might not be something you are willing to put in your hair however this powerful combination will work magic on severely dry hair. The mayonnaise will give your hair the heavy nourishment whilst adding back the shine to the hair follicles. To make this mask, you will need:
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup of olive oil and
- 3 egg yolks
Mix the powerhouse ingredients together until smoothed and blended together. Apply this mixture to damp hair from top to bottom. To lock in extra moisture, tie up your hair and cover it with a shower cap for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rinse out with shampoo and condition as usual.

DIY Cinnamon and Coconut Oil Mask
This mask is specific for thinning and breakage. Cinnamon surprisingly works to help stimulate blood circulation and promote hair growth and strength. Mixing this with coconut, that is rich in fatty acids, will help further the repair of hair strands whilst making your hair smell sweet.
All you need is:
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
Simply mix the two together until its well blended together. then apply the mixture onto your roots. its important to part and massage the mixture into the scalp to promote stimulation of the blood circulation. Spread the rest throughout your hair and let it sit for 30-45 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
DIY Sugar and Olive Oil Scrub
If you are a sucker for dry shampoo, this mask/scrub is designed for you. To promote healthy hair growth its important to keep the scalp healthy too and that means free from product build up. The sugar is a great exfoliant for the scalp and the hair shafts which will help eliminate the product build up and the olive oil will help to moisturize the scalp as well as the hair follicles due to its healthy fats and emollients.
To make this scrub, you will need:
-¼ cup sugar
-½ cup of olive oil
Mix together until well combined be careful not fully dissolve the sugar. Then apply directly to dry hair, massaging it into your scalp with circular motions to dissolve the sugar. The circular motion will also help stimulate the blood circulation in the scalp, perfect for growth. Once the solution gradually moves down the hair until it reaches the ends rinse out and shampoo and condition as usual.
DIY Aloe Vera and Olive Oil Mask
Another great hair mask to help stimulate hair growth and adding back the shine into your hair is using Aloe Vera and olive oil. the Aloe Vera has proteolytic enzymes which studies has shown can boost hair growth!
All you need is:
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- A small stem of raw Aloe Vera/ 2 Tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel
Boil some olive oil and mix with either raw aloe vera or aloe vera gel until is blended well. Once cool enough, apply the mixture onto your hair from root to tip, leave for 15 minutes and rinse the mixture out with cold water.
